extravagant acts for mature people

Extravagant Acts for Mature People is a sensational programme of free arts events for over 65's.

The core of the programme is an ongoing series of monthly lunchtime concerts featuring a diverse range of music and performance from all over the world. Since it first began we have hosted concerts and performances by internationally acclaimed artists including LSO, Fran Landesman, John Hegley, Apples and Snakes, Little Angel, John Wright and London Bulgarian Choir.

We have also run projects with smaller groups of senior citizens in Camden and in Tower Hamlets, including a range of drama and film workshops, a film project Doodle Bug by Helen Marshall, a ceramic art project Salvage by Amy Shelton and a participatory photography project led by artist Liz Orton called Late Developers. Our intergenerational dance project Swing Night was first presented at Battersea Town Hall in 2006 and and in 2012 returned to Stoke Newington Town Hall as part of the London Creativity and Wellbeing Week.
